Lawrence Henze joined Blackbaud in 2001 as the managing director of Target Analytics when Blackbaud acquired Core Data Services, where he was the founder since 1998. Before Core Data Services, Lawrence was vice president of predictive modeling services at USA Group Noel Levitz, with responsibilities for product development, as well as marketing and sales, of predictive modeling services in the areas of higher education (student admissions and retention), fundraising (prospect identification and qualification), and commercial corporations. Prior to joining USA Group Noel Levitz, He was the president of the Philanthropic Division of Econometrics, Inc., a marketing research and analysis firm based in Chicago, Illinois. In this position, he was responsible for developing state-of-the-art donor and prospect research methodologies for use by nonprofit organizations. From his tenure with Econometrics through his current work, Lawrence has worked with more than 600 clients and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge on the financial, demographic, and attitudinal characteristics of philanthropic donors in the United States. He has spent more than 28 years in the nonprofit world, including 14 years in development and marketing positions for nonprofit organizations, primarily in higher education. Lawrence earned his BA degree from Carroll College (WI) in political science, an MA in public policy and administration, and a JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. David Lamb is a 20-year prospect research professional that is recognized as one of the world’s leading authorities on prospect research, data modeling, and analytics. David’s prospect research website is recognized as a leading and top-rated resource for prospect researchers worldwide. Before joining Blackbaud, David served as director of prospect research at the University of Washington and Santa Clara University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Sterling College, a master’s degree in sociology from Wichita State University, and a master’s degree in Divinity from the San Francisco Theological Seminary. David is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, and has spoken widely at those sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA). Michael Quevli, Senior Consultant, Target Analytics
Michael Quevli joined Blackbaud in 2008 following the acquisition of Kintera, where he had worked since 2005. Michael Quevli began his career in prospect research in 1996 at AIDS Project Los Angeles. He was at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California for seven years and was responsible for overseeing the Development Research team, prior to joining Target Analytics in 2005. Michael was the membership chair for two terms with the California Advancement Researchers Association (CARA), where during his tenure membership went from 165 to 300.  He is currently serving his third term on the board for APRA in the position of President-Elect. Michael served three terms on the Stephens College Alumnae Board. He has been a speaker for APRA, CASE, AHP and taught at the College of Extended Learning at Cal State Northridge in prospect research and prospect management. Melissa Bank Stepno, Senior Consultant, Target Analytics
Melissa Bank Stepno joined Blackbaud in 2008 following the acquisition of Kintera where she had worked since 2005. Melisa has spent more than a decade working in the non-profit industry. Since becoming a consultant in 2005, she has worked with hundreds of non-profit organizations designing strategy and implementation plans for their predictive modeling and database screening projects.  Previously, Melissa served as a Senior Development Researcher at Boston University where she was responsible for managing their wealth screenings of more than 100K records.  Melissa received her BA from Brandeis University and has masters’ degrees in Arts Administration and Higher Education Administration from Boston University.  She sits on the boards of Brandeis University’s Alumni Association, the New England Development Researchers Association (NEDRA) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Northern New England Chapter (AFP NNE).  Melissa has spoken at a number of professional conferences and webinars including those hosted the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the New England Development Researchers Association (NEDRA). Katherine Swank joined the Target Analytics team in 2007 with more than 25 years of legal and nonprofit management experience. Prior to joining Target Analytics, she was the national director of gift planning at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where she provided fundraising consulting services to the Society’s chapter leadership and development staff for six years. Katherine has raised over $215 million during her career, with a focus on planned and major giving. At Target Analytics, she specializes in using donor analytics to complement planned, major, and capital gift campaigns.  As an affiliate faculty member of Regis University’s Masters in Global Nonprofit Leadership program in Denver, Katherine teaches courses on fundraising leadership and wealth and philanthropy in America. She is a member of the Arizona State Bar and a past president of the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable. In 2010, Katherine was inducted into Target Analytics’ Hall of Fame, which recognizes team members that epitomize excellence in service and was named as one of the top ten participant-rated speakers at Blackbaud’s 2010 Conference for Nonprofits.   She earned a BA in counseling and education from the University of Northern Colorado and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. Laura Worcester, Senior Consultant, Target Analytics
Laura Worcester joined Blackbaud in 2001. A member of Blackbaud’s Target Analytics team for ten years, Laura Worcester began her advancement career as a prospect researcher and special events coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Foundation.  In her 25+ years of fundraising experience, she has served as the chief advancement officer for numerous educational institutions, overseeing both annual and capital campaigns. She also managed her own consulting business dedicated to providing grant writing services to arts, educational and health care organizations in the Greater Milwaukee area. Prior to joining Blackbaud in 2001, Laura served as an account executive and consultant for Core Data services, the predecessor company of Target Analytics.  After a successful tenure as a Target Analytics Senior Account Executive, she joined the Analytics consulting team in 2006.  In this capacity she advises nonprofit organizations on the interpretation and implementation of their predictive modeling and wealth screening results as tools in effectively identifying and evaluating best donor prospects.   Laura has presented at national and regional conferences and roundtables, including AFP, AHP, APRA and CASE V on a variety of advancement related topics including prospect identification and management, electronic screening and grant writing.  Laura earned a BA from Creighton University. Kate Breck, Senior Consultant, Target Analytics
Kate Breck joined the Target Analytics team in 2007 with more than thirteen years of nonprofit fundraising and outside sales experience. In her current role as a Target Analytics consultant, she identifies objectives to maximize each client’s unique operational potential and develops strategic initiatives to ensure the customized implementation of the family of Target Analytics solutions.  She previously held positions within Sotheby’s Auction House and prominent international art galleries in New York City and Charleston, South Carolina, as well as the New York Academy of Art, the South Carolina Aquarium and the College of Charleston Foundation. A second-generation fundraiser, Kate is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, earned a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is currently enrolled at New York University’s George H.  Carol Belair, Senior Consultant, Target Analytics
Carol Belair joined the Target Analytics team in 2005, following the acquisition of Kintera She brings over 16 years of experience in wealth screening and predictive modeling services. Early in her career she managed the operations of the wealth screening and modeling services for Bentz Whaley Flessner. She then served as Vice President of Business Advancement at Marts & Lundy ES Solutions/Kamtech and most recently as Senior Account Executive Target Analytics.  Carol was part of the initial Marts & Lundy ES Solutions and P!N Electronic Screening product development teams as well as managed these processes and staff at Marts & Lundy/Kamtech. As Senior Account Executive at Blackbaud, she specialized in our P!N Electronic Screening services in transitioning these P!N clients to the Target Analytics wealth screening platforms. Carol has served thousands of clients with various prospect screening services at six different companies, and is a member of the Association for Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA). Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and completed graduate studies in Marketing Communications from the University of St. Thomas.
